Marlene & Andrew’s Wedding Tasting at Babe’s Tea Room — A Love Story Straight Out of Old Hollywood
There are some sessions that feel like work… and then there are sessions that feel like stepping into a movie.
Marlene and Andrew’s wedding tasting at Babe's Tea Room was the kind of afternoon that made you slow down, breathe deeper, and just take it all in. The soft clink of teacups, the delicate tiers of pastries, the warm light wrapping around them—it all felt timeless.
But what made it unforgettable?
Them.
Grace Kelly Elegance Meets Romantic Comedy Energy
Marlene carries herself with a quiet, effortless grace that instantly brought to mind Grace Kelly.
Not in a forced or styled way—but in that natural, undeniable elegance that just is, she doesn’t need to try. She simply is the moment.
And Andrew?
He’s the kind of leading man every great love story needs. Romantic, attentive… and just the right amount of funny. The entire time, he had her laughing, the easy kind of laughter that only comes from real love.
The Sweetest Rhythm Between Them
There was a rhythm between them—quiet, natural, and unmistakably real.
Marlene would sit with the softest smile, watching him—
already every bit the proud wife-to-be—
as he stirred, paused, and tasted, offering his thoughtful (and often endearingly amusing) reflections on each tea.
And he did have his opinions—delivered with just enough charm to make her laugh every time.
Each word, each reaction, each passing moment seemed to draw another layer of joy from her.
She cared for him with a tenderness that felt effortless and sincere, full of quiet admiration.
And he met her there with ease—bringing laughter, warmth, and a steady presence that made everything around them feel lighter.
The Kind of Love Rom-Coms Are Made Of
Have you ever watched a romantic comedy and thought,
“Do couples actually feel like that in real life?”
Yes.
They do.
And this is what it looks like.
It’s not just the big moments—it’s the in-between ones.
The glances. The waiting. The reactions. The laughter that comes so easily.
Marlene and Andrew are that kind of love.
The kind that feels light.
The kind that feels safe.
The kind that makes you believe in it all over again.
More Than Just a Photographer
I went into this session with a very clear intention—to be a quiet observer. A fly on the wall. To document the moments as they naturally unfolded without ever interrupting them.
But Marlene and Andrew had other plans.
From the very beginning, they gently pulled me in—in a way that felt intentional, warm, and incredibly genuine. It became clear very quickly that this wasn’t going to be a session where I stood on the outside looking in… they wanted me in the room with them, getting to know them just as much as I was capturing them.
I had already spent time with Marlene—between her dress fitting and our chance Peruvian dinner together in Rome—so I knew her heart. But this was my first time meeting Andrew, the leading man in her story.
And somehow, within minutes, it didn’t feel like a first meeting at all.
It felt like sitting down, sharing conversation, laughing, and truly connecting—the kind of easy, natural rhythm you have when you’re meeting someone who just fits. The kind of people who don’t keep others at arm’s length, but instead make it known—without saying it outright—that if you’re in their space, you’re welcome in their circle.
That’s who they are.
They don’t just love each other well…they make the people around them feel seen, included, and instantly at ease.
And that kind of energy is something you don’t come across often.
It’s the kind of presence that feels reminiscent of those Old Hollywood couples—not just in how they love each other, but in how they carry themselves with others.
Gracious, inviting, and effortlessly kind.
The kind of people who don’t just have a beautiful love story…
they make you feel lucky to be a small part of it.
