Experience

Working with Shanette

We are so grateful and impressed (and both of these don’t even begin to cover it). Thank you from the bottom of both of our hearts!!!

Marlene & Andrew

At the heart of Shanette Photography is a deep love for people, their stories, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.

Motherhood—especially raising a child with special needs—has shaped the way I see the world. It’s taught me patience, presence, and a deeper understanding of what truly matters. The fleeting moments, the imperfect ones, the ones that might otherwise go unnoticed—those are often the most meaningful. Those are the moments worth remembering.

Faith plays a quiet but steady role in this work. God’s light, His creation, and His perfect timing influence the way each image is captured. There is beauty in the details, in the stillness, and in the in-between—and photography becomes a way to honor that.

Every session is more than a photo shoot; it’s a shared experience built on trust, warmth, and genuine connection. I take the time to understand your story—not just what you want your photos to look like, but what you want them to feel like.

And when everything starts coming together—the light, the connection, the real, unfiltered moments—you’ll see my energy come to life.

I get excited. Like, genuinely excited.

I’ll be hyping you up, celebrating your kids being exactly who they are, and probably squealing a little when I know we just captured something really special. Because when the moment is real and the light is perfect? That’s magic—and I’m not the type to just quietly click the shutter and move on.

That energy isn’t chaos—it’s intention. It’s how I create a space where you can relax, let go, and actually enjoy the moment instead of overthinking it.

You don’t need to know how to pose.

You don’t need to perform.

You just get to show up as you are—and I’ll meet you there, guide you when needed, and celebrate every moment as it unfolds.

Because long after the moment has passed, your photographs should still speak.
